About:
Santiago, the capital city of Chile, is located in a valley next to the Andes Mountains. The city has a mix of old colonial buildings and modern skyscrapers. The surrounding area offers breathtaking scenery of mountains, canyons, and coastal towns. Valparaiso, one of Chile’s coastal towns, is famous for its colorful houses, street art, and historic quarter. Our tour will showcase the rich culture and natural beauty that Chile has to offer.

Kosher Information:
Three meals plus snacks are provided daily. All food provided on the trip is kosher under the high standards of local certified hashgachas. Additionally, all packaged food served has mehadrin kosher labels.
The daily schedule includes davening 3 times daily (Shachris, Mincha, and Maariv). We will confirm minyanim once enough men sign up.

The total price includes:
Hotels, transfers and transportation, food, guides, tips for local service providers, entrance fees.

The total price excludes:
Flights, insurance, cellular plans, passports, tips for the tour leader (recommended $15 per day of travel), anything not specified in “The total price includes”.
You may like to bring some extra cash if you plan to buy souvenirs.

Tentative Itinerary:
Sunday | January 17
Sunday is reserved as a travel day. Plan to arrive in Santiago on Monday Morning. Pickup from SCL airport is provided.

Monday | January 18
Arrive at the accommodations in Santiago. Spend the afternoon on a guided tour of Chile’s capital city.

Tuesday | January 19
First, we will drive to the small town of Pomaire, known for its beautiful handcrafted pottery. Next, we will head to the port city of Valparaiso, a colorful UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will take part in a guided tour of Valparaiso’s history, art, and culture. We will spend the night in Valparaiso.

Wednesday | January 20
We will continue our exploration of Valparaiso and the surrounding coastal towns of Viña del Mar and Concon. We will end our day back in Santiago.

Thursday | January 21
We will spend the day in La Campana National Park. The Park is known for its hikes and viewpoints through mountainous scenery and palm tree forests.

Friday | January 22
We will explore the rugged scenery of Maipo Canyon. Then we will prepare for an uplifting shabbos with the Jewish community of Santiago.

Shabbos | January 23
Shabbos meals, davening, and programming will be with the Santiago Jewish Community. Shabbos will be a time to take in the surrounding scenery and to relax from the eventful week.

Sunday | January 24
We will visit landmarks in and around Santiago. Later, we will pack up and say our goodbyes to Santiago, reflecting back on our journey together. We will head to the airport, leaving everyone to embark on their individual paths homeward.
